Lurlene The Trailer
Court Queen "White Trash Jam-Bo-Ree"
Score: 36 Scores
range from 0 to infinity, infinity being best. 100 is excellent.
1000 is excellent times ten.
Her trailer park accent (white trash accent?) is not fully convincing.
Similarly, the way she writes her liner notes with accent included is not
quite convincing, but possibly cute. Some of the parody songs have
little in common with the original except for the music. Good parody
lyrics should find something in common with the original so the listener
can enjoy recognizing the similarity. Syllable count is sometimes
too high or low. Single syllables are sometimes ah-ahhed into multiple
syllables to make them fancier. The music is thin, there's not much
going on, mainly an acoustic guitar and occasional percussion. I
guess they didn't have enough money for a full time drummer. White
Trash Christmas is the exception.
Ooh those hips, that big bouffy
hair. Is she as horny as the rims of her glasses? Her look
is similar to a Far Side comic strip, hee hee.

Song descriptions listed in track order:
01. White Trash Blues 3:22
Kind of boring. It would be better if Lurlene
would let us deduce a few things about her in a subtle way from her behavior
and pictures, rather than explaining it all to us.
"I'm White Trash and my name is Lurlene
And if you mess with my man or my children
Well you'll see this here trailer babe get mean"
02. Trashy Woman 02:38
(Parody of "Pretty Woman" Roy Orbison)
"Trashy woman, I'll dress like Cher for you"
03. Thank God I'm An Easy Girl 1:19
(parody of "Thank God I'm A Country Boy" a song
written to do parodies of, thank you, John Denver)
04. Yer Lazy 2:37
(parody of "Crazy" by Willie Nelson)
"Yer lazy
Too lazy too pick up your undies"
05. The Rivalry 3:10
(parody of "El Paso" by Marty Robins)
This is about the fourth-best song.
06. Cuzins In A Fight 1:56
(parody of "Afternoon Delight" by Starland Vocal
Band)
"Molotov cocktails in flight"
07. You Cain't Do Me Wrong 2:15
I was drawing a blank as to what this was a parody
of and why. Lurlene's liner notes mentions the song writer for each
song. This is an original.
"Drop them pants baby
You cain't do me wrong"
Hey, pants doesn't rhyme with cain't.
Sideshow Bob comment: (shudder)
08. Blubberectomy 2:35
(parody of "Sister Golden Hair" by America)
This song calls for another comment by Sideshow Bob: (shudder).
09. Light Your Ass On Fire 2:11
(parody of "Light My Fire" by The Doors.)
BTW, I once had the idea "Come on baby light my fart" but concluded the
idea was too lame. This song is not the same because it has nothing
to do with farts. It would have been classier if it did. The
refrain varies but the basic idea is "I'm gonna set your ass on fahr"
10. Trailer For Rent 2:43
(parody of "Stairway To Heaven"
11. Bouffant Hair-Do 2:21
(parody of "Pinball Wizard" by The Who)
Guitar playing is noticeably fancier on this song
12. Cowboy Rap 3:09
I like this a little. It's goofy.
Hey, goofy rhymes with bouffy. I'll have to remember that if I ever
write a song about Lurlene.
13. White Trash Christmas 1:39
(No, it's not a parody of "White Christmas" but
there is a "Joy To The World" intro.) The lyrics work well here and
the music is more solid and, uh, tight than most of the other songs.
There's even a bass guitar and the drummer plays for the whole song.
Total playing time: 31:55
